Confirming you are receiving custom events

Once your account has been enabled for AudienceLift you should check your Meta pixel to ensure that it is receiving our Audience Lift Signals.

To review custom events in Meta Events Manager:

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager.

  2. Click Datasets in the left menu of the page.

  3. Select your pixel.

  4. Click the Overview tab at the top of the page.

  5. Scroll down past Event Activity to Events.

  6. You will see a list of events being received on the pixel. Depending on your pixel setup they will appear as:

Core Setup event signals

AudienceLiftEntry_nnnnn

or

AudienceLiftExit_nnnnn

Non-core setup event signals

AudienceLiftEntry

or

AudienceLiftExit

Where nnnnn will be a numeric representing the AudienceLift signal (segment).

  1. If the events are not present:

  2. Check that you have no restrictions on your account, such as confirming which custom events belong to you and look out for any red warning triangles against the name of the pixel and repeated across the menu headers, such as Diagnostics.

    1. If you have any warnings, do make a note of them and contact your client success manager or support. We will be happy to help you diagnose any issues.

  3. Wait a little longer, especially if you have just gone live with AudienceLift. Events can take a couple of hours to appear in the Meta interface, even though they have been delivered.
