Confirming custom events that belong to you

Meta has protections in place to ensure that you always have control over what data enters your business account.

One such protection is permissions based and involves granting which custom events are permitted into your events manager. As Anonymised sends AudienceLift signals as custom events you must occasionally grant permission before using such events in your Meta audiences.

As per the Facebook Business Help article: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/642275438032995

To review custom events in Meta Events Manager:

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager.

  2. Click Datasets in the left menu of the page.

  3. Select your pixel.

  4. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.

  5. Scroll down to Data restrictions.

  6. In the Manage event blocking section, click Review.

  7. In the Action required tab, select all of the custom events that you want to confirm or block. Note: You may not be able to confirm custom events that Meta has detected may contain potentially prohibited information. (You may need to acknowledge to proceed to this step).

  8. Click Next.

  9. Select Confirm the custom event or Block the custom event.

  10. Click Review. A message will appear on screen if you've successfully confirmed or blocked custom events.

  11. Click Done.
